Ainmníodh Gaillimh mar phríomhchathair chultúir na hEorpa 2020 agus tá dúshlán an lae inniu ag teacht chugat ó fhoireann Gaillimh2020. ‘Bruth faoi thír’ atá de choincheap faoin gclár agus ba mhaith le Gaillimh2020 go gcumfá dán gearr/Haiku leis an téama seo.

Galway has officially been designated the European Capital of Culture 2020 and today’s challenge comes from the Galway2020 team. Their vision is for Galway to ‘Make Waves’ in 2020; waves of creativity, digital waves, disruptive waves, energetic waves. Galway2020 believe at the heart of Galway 2020 is the next wave of artists, creators, makers and shakers. That means you!

Take a photograph which plays with the notion of juxtaposition – “the fact of two things being seen or placed close together with contrasting effect

Need more help?

Having problems visualising a juxtaposition? Try to mix and match two materials that generally don’t go together, like leaves and paper clips or contrast colour and texture. Photograph and share the result.
